How to Use the Whole Pumpkin: Part 1

Oct 4, 2016|By Sam Blau
Your favorite seasonal ingredient is here! Along with changing leaves and cooler weather, Fall brings us patches of fresh, brightly colored pumpkins. This year, don’t be afraid to go pick your own and create special, homemade seasonal treats and meals. It’s easier than you think to use the whole pumpkin! This week we’re sharing a few pumpkin recipes, and next week we’ll be exploring different ways to use up the 'other' parts of a pumpkin - including the seeds, guts, and outside skin so nothing goes to waste.

One of the easiest way to incorporate pumpkin into your recipes is by adding pumpkin puree. This incredibly versatile and nutrient-dense ingredient can be used in everything from bread to smoothies! Check out some of our favorite recipes below, and get your own pumpkin puree here at Direct Eats, or make your own fresh puree using these easy instructions from Good Housekeeping
