When Mark Sisson decided to fund Primal Kitchen back in 2015, he wanted to educate the world on nutrition and the benefits of high-quality fats and protein. As an elite athlete himself, he would put in long hours of training and would eat carbs to recover, and as a result, he would be extremely exhausted or in extreme cases, become physically injured. He realized that most athletes would use supplements to recover faster from training, so he began a new approach and went head on trying a new diet: mimicking humanity's hunter-gatherer days, eating little more than meat, vegetables, some fruits, and almost no grains or sugar carbohydrates, plus fewer hours of exercise.
Primal Kitchen was born out of Mark’s extensive research and experimentation, producing uncompromisingly delicious condiments, dressings and marinades, avocado oils, protein bars, collagen protein powders and bars, and whey protein that focus on good fats, clean ingredients, and uncompromisingly delicious flavor.
